Bijou updatette.
Turned over 1500 miles on the B today, with a very quick cobweb blower of a ride today, just five miles up the hill and back.
It’s been to six countries, ridden 50-60 miles days, loads of useful utility rides instead of using the car, and I’ve only been refused entry in one establishment in 18 months. ( I’m looking at you Italica in Seville😤) . I love this silly little bike.

That's lovely to hear, and makes me feel a bit guilty about not using mine a bit more. I gave ours a spruce up yesterday, and there's Mrs Tkk's 2015 M6L which is destined for a Rohlof conversion in the near future.

I agree, I’ve not used mine nearly enough recently, but hope to put that right as I’m retiring in May

I’m retiring in a couple of weeks, maybe we can get out for that ride you suggested a while back?

Update.
Just passed the second anniversary of owning the B. 620 miles this year, 1847 miles total. About to put on a new chain to celebrate.

We’re taking them to Vancouver & Alaska next week for some day trips.

I bought couple of B&W cases for the journey today.

They do other cases.😃

I saw that - but still, on their description of the Foldon in your link it says "suitable for many bikes"

Then further down the page it says:
Our B&W foldon case offers extreme stability and the perfect inner size for all foldable bikes with the dimensions of a Brompton bike.

I’ve had my C-Line a little over two years and I have ridden 1864.4 miles in that time. I gave it a good clean today, paying special attention to the chain ring, sprockets and derailleur and installed a new chain. Well, why not, it’s a nice day. I’m taking it in holiday on Thursday to Alaska.

Did you replace the sprockets at the same time? They’re not expensive

…and Brompton recommends doing them together.

I’ve read that is recommended, but I didn’t do it. It doesn’t make sense to me, presumably if one has worn the sprockets to the point of changing them, then surely the chain ring needs replacing too.

I’ve changed many chains on bikes over the years, never replaced a sprocket yet. ( except once when I upgraded a whole group set).

Anyway, I’ll see how it goes, if the chain starts to slip I’ll change the sprockets.
