There's still about 2.2% of the year to go! Boxing day weather looks ok, so there might be a few miles to add yet. Even allowing for that, my Strava year isn't going to be much to be proud of .

I was just checking out the metric half century a month thing. Maybe sign up for that as an incentive to build some miles. I reckon i just need to stop taking the usual shortcuts on my commute to get them.

I saw mine too.
I never include commuting, which add another 2,000 miles.

I am declaring my annual miles, as it's a horrible wet/windy day here, and forecast to get worse tomorrow. Pretty much the story of 2017; it's been a horrible year weather-wise .

Which makes me wonder, how did this happen? I've just totaled up my annual mileage on 4 bikes:
Specialized Secteur 507 miles (minus 369 on 2016).
Trek 6500 MTB 287 miles (minus 158 on 2016)
Ridgeback Panorama 617 miles (minus 348 on 2016) note to self; use this bike more as it's too good to gather dust!
Genesis Croix de Fer 2252 miles (plus 2128 on 2016; but it was only bought in December 2016).

Total miles is 3663 which is more than I expected. Strava says about 2700, but it just shows how all the short rides and commutes add up, none of which I bother to record on my Garmin. Here's to something similar if not better in 2018. Could we please have some dry weather to offer encouragement??
