Shouldn't have posted that Greg. I'm sharpening my boltcutters and booking my Horsham train ticket. Be afraid, be very afraid.

I'll be the one with a black spray can in my other pocket ...

Oooohhh! Photos please, especially of the SA 8 speed conversion. I fancy doing that to mine too.

Very jealous. Enjoy the Brommie. Didnt know you could get a sturmey archer 8 speed, would suit my needs very well. N +1 not an option for me just now though.

excellent Greg! it's going to be ready for touring with 8 gears. if single speed wheel/hub becomes redundant, i might be interested in it

I toured a bit on my old 3 speed. I'm quite impressed with the subtle improvements Brompton have made in the last 10 years, just little things but they all add up.

Watch this space for potential rear wheel redundancy!

Ah. Those of us familiar with NT know that 'modifications required' are unlikely to put him off....

So I understand. But I hope he has time on his hands; Ben at Kinetics is on the Mk. VI version of his kit and it still ain't perfect.

Greg - Susie is looking at Bromptons. Let us know how the 8-speed goes, because the standard 6-speed has two gears that you'd only use on a cliff face....
