Looks like I may have to cull my bike 'collection' soon as a downsize in house is imminent. Which has led me to ponder the awful scenario of keeping only one bike............ Which one would it be?
After much thought (and nightmares) I have come down on the side of my Merida cx 500. It's just the sheer 'do it all' ability I love.
It's certainly a jack of all trades & master of none (pretty much like myself) the bikes this leaves in the cold are....

I realise my choice would change from day to day, and my choice today has been influenced by a particularly beautiful autumnal ride to Calke Abbey.
So given this potential nightmare scenario which bike would you choose to keep & why?

An Asgard to put in the garden for bike storage recommend the 4 bike 29er version, 4 bikes in there, 1 in the house

My Birdy is almost it now, I'm down to 2. It rides like a bigger wheel bike, is nippy, great fun, leggy and comfortable for distances can take luggage for touring and rolls along very well but will also fold down, nearly but not quite Brompton small, to allow for multi modal journeys.

I'm pretty sure I will get one. Keeper of the purse strings has given the go ahead. The tight Yorkshireman inside me can't justify spending the money though
