Need advice on detatchable mudguards

I have a 15 year old Marin Bear Valley, I would like to fit a front detatchable mudguard. The usual ones that fit almost all bikes don't fit mine.
Can anyone advise me as to what make and model I should go for and if possible recomend any online stockists?

Looks pretty good, and stops you riding into stuff flying off your front wheel.

Is there any reason why a standard Crudcatcher won't fit your bike?

Thanks Cubist, that might be the answer. Gonna have a closer look.
I wear glasses, so at times it's like driving a car with no wipers. Scarey.
