Potatoes cut into 'wedges', with skin on, pour a tablespoon of oil in a plastic bag and a teaspoon of paprika, cumin seeds, salt. Put wedges in bag, give a really good shake, empty onto a baking tray, put in oven on 'blast furnace' setting for 35mins, ready for making into a white bread sandwich, with butter, and no sauce needed because of the spices and butter melting together...sort of healthier...:smile:

Nice and simple really...

Chip butties. Should they be on brown/wholemeal baps or white baps?
He was sent out last night for chips and baps and came home with wholemeal yet again!

(oh and baps = bread rolls/barn cakes/muffins/stotties/any other variation on the word bread roll!
)

You still got it wrong, they are bread cakes. ^_^

White with tommy sauce by the way is the correct answer

I've only lived in Scotland for 30 years, so haven't grasped yet the meaning of making a meal of bread and potatoes :smile: Where are the vitamins???:scratch:
Scottish salad = Chips n Baked beans

best one I saw in a scottish chippy was a Fritter and chips . Frankie Boyle also picks up on this well
