I use mine to keep in touch with far flung family, some people do abuse it- look at me look at me

I don't use Facebook much, but I'm curious what forms this could take. Is it people posting perfect pictures from their perfect holiday? I've heard that too much of that kind of thing can make the people on the receiving end feel unnecessarily down about their own slightly less glamourous existence.
