I took the plunge and bought a secondhand 3 speed Roadster a couple of months ago. I use it for local trips to the shops and so on and just love the ride and the fact I can just get on and go. The only thing I don't like is the limited gearing. It's a heavy lump and getting up anything that resembles a hill is hard work and the fact that I ride it in normal clothing and don't want to be sweaty when I get where I'm going means I'm limited to quite short distances.

So I've got an 8 speed Roadster on order, which will, I hope, make longer journeys practical.

Edit; just googled it, lot of money for a bike that imo has limited gearing so therefore limited use .

They tend not to be discounted - believe me I've looked! I ordered mine over the 'Black Friday' weekend and got £125 off.
