'New' Car Day!

We picked it up this morning

Not the looked at; VW T6, Mercedes-Benz Vito, or Ford Tourneo Connect

A Skoda Kodiaq
(SE trim)
2.0Tdi (150BHP)
6-speed manual 'box
5-seater
4x4 :okay: (not the lookalike front-driver)

VED; £155 ('ad blue' helps)

Insurance; It’s gone up, from the Octavia
There’ll be an extra £6.27 added to the premium upon renewal date
(which is next week!!)
So it’ll then be £220 fully comprehensive!
Which I'm very happy with^_^
I expected my insurers asking for at least another £200, given the difference in ages, & more importantly, values!

My Octavia, is now emptied of everything & it all transferred into the Kodiaq
Even with the 'sports steering-wheel', my DiskLok still fits^_^
The Octavia is now pushed into the corner of a re-arranged garage, somewhere it's never been since I bought it in March 2012!!

Now, I need to get a towbar & electrics, as 'Senior Management' is insistant on our buying a Big White Shed On Wheels

We've had them before, the last was an Elddis Crusader Storm 2000 (towed with my Defender 110Td5 CSW)

Mileage?

A mate had a Skoda which took ad blue.
He found it a niggle, not least because if the little tank runs low the car will refuse to move.

No big problem if you stash a spare bottle somewhere, but it is something else to remember.
Quite a few modern diesels have it, so I'm informed
If it has 'blue' in the model designation, it does

I bought a 10litre 'drum', & it took about 8 litres (had really expected it filling up, at collection)

Does this need merging with the pavement parking thread? :okay:
my BiL has one, they are very smart if you like 4x4's
There's still over 4 foot of pavement width, to the near-side
Further down the avenue, there's less
(here, the pavement's almost as wide as the street!)

I see a pedestrian has expressed his displeasure by pissing on the back wheel.
Nope!
I spilt some 'ad-blue', so had swilled it away

Towbar costing enquiries ongoing..........

Due to a deposit being placed on a BWSOW..............

It's 'new fangled', to me anyway, an electronic handbrake:wacko::wacko:
It applies when stationary & clutch depressed in gear, or neutral
Then, if your foot comes off the clutch-pedal, in neutral, it 'Stop-Starts'......

Two glove-boxes!
There's no under-seat storage tray, like the Octavia though!
Sadly it's not a CD player, just the 'Sat-Nag' box & SD card slots)

Granted, it's not a full-sized umbrella, but probably handy!!
