I'm thinking of doing my long ride there later this week - planning a 40 miles ish round trip to have a look and sample the café fare - looks interesting.

I've not been yet even though it's on my door step and I've been past it most afternoons.

Seen a fair few people walking bikes out across Full Street from it though, looks good from the outside!

Thanks for the link! I've often considered cycling to Derby rather than driving but didn't want to leave it outside as I know they get quite a lot of theft so could well use this Thanks.... Cafe' s a bit posh though and is that right in the service list £40 to replace an inner tube? got to be typo.......

Followed your link and it says a tenner as you said.... I'm sure it said £40 earlier.... I must be going mad..... a a tenners fair enough with a free coffee.....

Thread resurrection...

Went in for the first time on a Saturday morning the other weekend. It was sunny (which always makes places look nicer) so I tried not to look with rose-tinted specs. There were half a dozen people in browsing or waiting for food.

The shop area was nicely laid out - mostly stuff arranged around the walls - though the range of goods looked rather limited, The cafe has a balcony which looks a pleasant way of passing an hour on the right day.

My wife made the same observation about the menu. Personally, when I'm cycling, I don't really want to sit down to a three course meal. I want a cheap-and-cheerful mug of tea/coffee with a chunk of homemade cake. But that's just me - I'm sure the cafe will attract plenty of custom.

I guess the secure bike parking is the main thing though.

Have been in a few times, handy for secure bike parking, showers, decent cafe, and one of the guys builds quality frames..... all good really
