New Hutchinson "puncture proof" tyre looks promising!

Hello all

I know that "punctureless" tyres have been around for a while now - Greentyres being an example. Hutchinson are bringing out a new tyre later this year that look promising:

Is this yet another answer to no more punctures? I will be giving them a try assuming they will be available in 700X23.

Forgive my cynicism, but I've seen puncture-proof tyres once a decade for the last 30 years.
They've all been unmitigated shite. And saying that is maligning the good name of faeces.

Interesting.

When your tread wears out, simply replace only the tread without removing other part of the tire.

So instead of a puncture repair kit, does one have to carry a tube of glue just in case the retread comes loose!

I like the sound of them though and shall keep an eye out for further news. If things like rolling resistance, ride comfort, weight, etc etc all get the thumbs up then I certainly would give them a go and make my own mind up.
