Go for fatter tyres which will give you just as much comfort if run at lower pressure.

I've always used my bike pump to pump my tyres up until I literally couldn't pump any more (which I now accept as being the wrong approach).

Can you point me to an article which outlines the pros and cons of tyre pressures?

To summarise for those who can't be bothered to plough through the videos.

Get a decent track pump.

The wider and fatter the tyre, the lower the pressure.
