If I was looking for a new custom built frame I'd contact the Kevin Sayles team at Woodrup, personally I'd be looking at a retro style road frame but I've seen some nice touring frames they have turned out....

"Custom" is a bot of a misnomer in my view ... what you'll get in most cases is a standard frame with the components/groupset you choose ... wait ages for it and pay a lot! The chances are that an off-the-shelf machine with attention paid to fit with seat post and stem combo will do the job.

Something like a Lynskey or Van Nicholas in titanium would be my choice

what my plan is to build up a nice frame i have bits and pieces in me shed (don't we all ) i want to go shimano 9 speed sti leavers /brooks imperial saddle /.deore or xt front and rear mechs/ impact triple chainset.
i have the wheels .tubus rear rack / ortlieb panniers classic rear..
im in no hurry wont be planning a tour until next june if the gods are on my side.
so thats the plan lads ,sure no harm in planning ahead.
