New toy!

Sorry, I know that for most of you this is nothing great, but for me it's a leap into this new fangled technology stuff which normally has me running scared .

Bought a Garmin Edge 200 this afternoon and have just got it home, plugged in, downloaded some stuff that they tell you to do, and now worked out how to create a course and send it to the device .

I always wanted to be able to find my way through places like Glasgow without getting lost, and without carrying a big heavy A to Z; now I can.

@Pat "5mph", thank you for inspiring me to buy this when I saw yours on the 3 ferries ride. Looking forward to extending my knowledge of central Scotland now! So; how many miles of routes can I upload to it before it is full?

Re the edit button, when you click it, if a blank box pops up then hit the "more options" button at the bottom of it, this will then bring in your text and you can edit away.

+1 , i have always found garmin connect website to be a bit unreliable so i have used strava for a while

Is there an advantage of using one of these rather than using a smart phone and say, map my ride or Strava?
