Is it as simple as that?A cheap one.
Probably the worse time of year to get a trainer but there you go. Have 90% decided on a Tacx Flux but I don't have a bike for it. Can anyone suggest a suitable bike that will only ever be attached to the trainer?
Thanks
Thanks just taken a look and noticed that it doesn't have the all in one brake/gear shifters which would make it a no go for me.

That's because its supposed to be mechanically simple, so they've removed the need for a front mech, and complicated brifters. The way they have it, is pretty good, it's like a hybrid, with trigger shifter gears, and conventional brakes, but gives you that system on a drop bar bike. Thanks just taken a look and noticed that it doesn't have the all in one brake/gear shifters which would make it a no go for me.
How would you change gear? I prefer to use the brake/gear change. How is that relevant if the bike just sits on a trainer?
Nothing.... Going to the shed and carrying it up the stairs to the spare room putting it on the trainer then taking it all back would be a PITA.What's wrong with the bike you've got?
