Newcastle City Council are going to make permanent changes that they put in near RVI hospital in Newcastle to help with social distancing.

I haven't seen them since the initial temporary route was put in last year. There were, to my mind, a few teething problems but hopefully they have sorted them now.
Even the proposed safer crossing points will be very welcome. A lot of people walk to the hospital from the nearby bus stations & crossing the road - especially for older or infirm people - could be a bit of a nightmare
