Nice light-ish rack with a low ‘height’

I’m not sure what the dimension I mean is called - but the vertical strut length on my rack is too long - it looks ungainly to me. And more importantly it means I can’t fit anything on the SQR block on those “don’t need a pannier” days because the tack is too close.

Can anyone recommend a rack that will mean the distance marked in green is shorter? I’m having some difficulty finding the measurements so I thought it’d be easier to ask the hive mind. I’d like a bit of a platform for strapping stuff to. The bike doesn’t have discs or mounts for them.

The fitted rack is a Sonder Mool which I think is designed to give clearance for 29er style tyres more than my 700x28c. (I know I should cut down the struts but I don’t like it on this frame so I’ve left them long so I have choices later. Also I couldn’t be bothered.)

Thanks.

Tubus racks are probably the best. They show dimensions in drawings.

I like Skol

A Minging Manc...
Also fitted this to my other bike just last night ready for a short weekend trip coming up soon.

Might be more your style as has a wide flat top but sits nice and low.

Will dig out rack details and take better pictures if required. Think it was a trek item, ordered it last year but it was delayed so never got fitted for the trip it was originally intended for.

Thanks. This is really useful. The Trek one looks good, and a good price.

Not like them not to put TREK on it on massive letters, but that makes it better :-)
