The cyclist was a hazard?:wacko: I'd say the only hazard on that road at that point in time was himself and his lack of driving skills.

Also was the lampost oncoming? All the lamposts that I've seen have tended to be stationary. No wonder he hit it if it was coming towards him.:ohmy:

Pleading guilty may have been a good tactic because it means he cannot be cross-examined about the incident.

So all such questions about were you on the phone or talking to your mate through the nearside window are never asked.

All his employers will know is what he - and his mate - choose to tell them.
