Wonder how many TV licences the BBC sold by displaying that QR code at half time of every World Cup game...

'An investigation has begun'

They've opened countless investigations on me over the last twenty odd years... but I don't have much faith in their investigative prowess.
After all this time they still think I'm called Theo C. Cupier... and they can't even type that properly

My BIL does it, sometimes I think to m as ke a scene about it kind of for attention.

Me? I think it’s reasonable VFM as I listen to the radio a lot and watch short dramas.

I’m not overly bothered by paying it however I do agree with the probing being effectively forced to pay for it.

Fair enough back in day before streaming etc.

AIUI they only send letters through the post, which should be treated with the contempt they deserve, I wonder if the text is a scam
I originally bought it online, so my number was probably in one of the bits to fill out. I never really thought about it at the time (how many times do you fill out your details for something?).

This text, they have my postcode in it, but it doesn't specify the address. A reference number too. 🙄

The BBC broadcast where we’d attack in the Falklands about 28 hours before. The Argies listened in with the rest of the world & the lads paid for it. Not to mention Jimmy Saville and other pedos.
That’s why you shouldn’t pay the fee.

Thanks, that's interesting.

Some of those will be households where live transmissions aren't watched, and some CV will just be without a licence.

European Athletics Champs starts on Monday. Don’t grudge paying for it. Between the athletics and several dramas I enjoy it’s worth it for me.

U20 Worlds are on Eurovision. Am currently catching up on day 3. Catchup, best watch the evening sessions(finals). Highlights are too light on dept.

I wish Romesh would put a sock in it, the Python parody doesn't work as a monologue, it takes two.
