Yes. It's amazing how many countries have it, and yet moaning pessimists in the UK (including many cyclists!) claim it would never work here, would be unfair, and lead to cyclists throwing themselves in front of cars...
I remember frequently getting frustrated in the UK when this conversation was repeated on different themes:
"We couldn't possibly do that: it wouldn't work/everyone would die/they sky would fall on our heads."
"But here's a list of places in Europe that already do [fairly simple idea] and it worked for several decades."
"Well, maybe, but... it still wouldn't work... because... reasons. Also. It's different here. Also, the sky would fall on our heads if we did it."
Another variation was suggesting something that looked flashy, but which was unproven, far more complex, and more expensive than the solution being used elsewhere for decades: It seems to be a very British problem.
