My old Carlton Clubman origionally had threads on the other side for a fixed sprocket but that seems to be a bit pointless what with having to change chains to use a single cog (no powerlinks back then)

Cyclo 4 (or less) speed blocks use a 1/8" chain which can be easily shortened/lengthened as required with a chain tool (or hammer and a small punch as my Dad used to do).
