I don't set targets, but last year I did 1000 miles in the year and I've already reached that with 3months to go.

Don't give up on yourself just yet.

I've done 2250 so far I was hoping for 3000 I might do it.... I normally do (mainly commuting miles) 90 odd a week depends on how strong the will power is on rainy days........

but as @Hip Priest, has already said we are all cycling more than most people (no smugness intended)

Think I will be struggling to hit my target too - hope we have some nice calm, clear, crisp autumn days. Nothing better than a ride on a sunny frosty morning - as long as the roads are dry. Wet and windy hardly encourages you to get out, though it's always worth it if you can drag yourself through the door and onto the bike

This year I have done 5,700 miles so far. I didnt really set myself a target but I like to improve each year. Last year did 6000 miles, so I am positive I will beat that at least.

But you have no wife, kids or full time job etc to distract you , wait till you get laid

I reached my target a week or so ago, was 5000 just upped it to 7000. get on your bike and ride.

I sincerely hope that he removes the helmet cam for the occasion. I really wouldn't want to see that clip.
