Does anybody else loathe and despise new years eve??

I HATE it, always have done, way overrated and overhyped, it`s that "you will spend hours with people you can`t stand, getting p*ssed and pretending you love them after the countdown (also a big joke), then stay up till 4am just because it`s NYE.

Easy answer, stay in and watch Jools Holland's Hootenanny.....that's what me and my wife have done the last few years, we enjoy it much more than going out, suffering the things you complain about and then being unable to get a taxi home, usually some good music too!!

I am with you on this.

It seems to have got out of hand since the millennium.

It can go into events room 101 along with Christmas (sick of it by the time it actually arrives), the boat race (who cares) and the grand national (just a horse race in which more horses than usual get killed).

It is 6pm and the f******in' fireworks are starting already!

Got the upstairs/downstairs dvd`s I had for Christmas, after I`ve had a long bath/snooze, and a date with numerous cups of tea, bliss!!
