The Lovell telescope is at Jodrell Bank.

Jim Lovell never got to the moon. Close, but not quite close enough to count.

There is a public open space on the edge of Leeds city centre (overlooking the Inner Ring Road) dedicated to Jim Lovell.

There is also an urban moor dedicated to dog trainer Barbara Woodhouse near the Uni (the proper Uni, not the rebranded Polytechnic)

Jim Lovell deliberately sabotaged Apollo 13 because he knew it was a suicide mission.

Site of the second IT HQ of a bank.

Lovell also played for Leeds United in later life.

Your avatar, Bernie Clifton doesn't have real legs, if you watch his ostrich closely you can see Bernie has false legs

That's why he rides an ostrich, I'm surprised only I have ever spotted this

The marketing slogan "Skittles - Taste the rainbow" came about because the confectionery was originally made from a blend of the sweat of Richie Blackmore and Ronnie James Dio.

Wigs were invented by Sir Roger Moore. He was born as bald as a cot, so in 1909 he took to perching a rabbit upon his head to give the appearance of hair. He quickly refined the concept, and from then on Moore wore a wig, This pre dated the widespread use kf cinema, so we only ever saw him in a wig, and this this became the norm.
