Oisin Tymon not pressing charges. Is this of concern?

I'm guessing this is something to do with that Top Knob bloke, and is therefore possibly being discussed in the other thread.

No.

I attend numerous incidents similar to this, and generally when the two people know each other as colleagues or friends, they would generally rather deal with it themselves rather than involve the police. I doubt very much "fear of reprisals" factors into it.

They are no longer going to be colleagues and no reason to be interacting with one another so that cannot be a motive not to press charges. I would certainly would have pressed charges so that he does not do this to anyoneeats and abuse was quite excessive. I would certainly would have pressed charges so that he does not do this to anyone else and get away with it.

The big punchy bloke has lost his job, if a complaint is made to the Police and Clarkson is eventually brought before a magistrate the punishment would be small. What eould be the point of all the hassle, justice has already been served by the BBC

If I was sent to this job, without knowing who either person was, I wouldn't be in the slightest bit surprised at the victim saying "I don't want to go go any further"

That's all I can say.

Two years ago I was assaulted during a commercial robbery. Until you have it happen to you, you can't say how you would react. I did go forward with a complaint, and it is a lot of stress and worry for the level of injuries I recieved. For this guy to choose to leave it is a very valid decision and I understand it entirely.

This is different. The victim has been harassed, berated and threatened where he did not even offer resistance when assaulted. Not your usual punch-up which I would agree with you.

I do understand. I just felt if the victim needed support and given time to consider.

I posted this on the Clarkson suspended thread yesterday. So, I appear to have answered your own question before you asked it. No, 745 I think.

I suspect that, for professional reasons, the victim will not wish to press charges. We know what happens to whistleblowers, testifying against a well-known TV presenter would raise the stakes considerably. So, nobberesse oblige, right gives way to shite. Clarkson walks away.

And I hope I'm wrong.
