exactly i much prefer an old series landy off road you have to think and plan ever move and gear change where as iv driven new discos and all you do is push a button and point it in the right direction where is the fun in that
Agreed!!
My first one was a 1969 2A Light-Weight (only 4 years younger than me!!!!)
Then, I jumped to a 1994 110 Hard-Top (300Tdi) - that was like going to Picards USS Enterprise!!!!
The most 'relaxed' (on, or, off-road) was a 90-CSW, but a genuine factory V8!!! (not a 50th)
Also had a couple of 90s, a Discovery 50th Anniversary (never really got on with it, but would like a 300tdi Commercial now!!)
My last one was a 110Td5 'Heritage' station wagon (with the green leather)
*Have any of you seen the film of Tony Pond driving the TT course in the Rover Vitesse???
That bugger shot me with half of Brechfa forest in his Rover Vitesse !!! legend !!![/QUOTE]
The TT lap here, along with the later Mark Higgins lap (& just as importantly!!, times!)
I believe Ponds was a 'flying lap' though, but that takes absolutely
bugger all away from his as a driver!!
