Let it go. They only do it because they know it gets people all hot and bothered. It’ll be the same old nonsense. The bigger worry is pages and pages of back and forth here. Just switch over and carry on.

Edit: Oh well, it’s already started here. Ho hum.

They'll be jolly surprised when they discover all the car drivers that commit offences and even kill despite having a licence.

Like the driver driving across this bridge last night at about 21.15 with no headlights on. I was about 20 - 30 metres 'away' from being knocked over. It was only me determining movement in the corner of my eye that avoided a pedestrian RTC.
But yeah, tell me again how cyclists running reds are the problem.
Should just add that I was crossing the road, as a pedestrian.

It’s not a uniquely UK problem. I was in Chicago last week and lost count just walking to the hotel, from the train I got from the airport, how many cyclists ran red lights. I’m not on about turning right on red (which is legal unless otherwise indicated) but going straight through a junction or even turning left.

Licence for bikes has been discussed at government level before. The result was unworkable and unpoliceable.
