Might not have got payed on Friday if it went up.
Mind you we got pretty used to things going bang and molten metal flying around but even Roddy (the owner) was a bit pale when he saw the ring in the (still soft) Brass where the cylinder had stood as 2 of the other lads were breaking up the pool of metal before it had set, the offices were quite close to the casting 'floor' where the furnace was.

but the same here. Blackpool Pleasure Beach,1974. My older brother finally persuaded me to go on the big dipper. He said you should scream to release the tension if you don't like the experience. I screamed all the way round
