Love a Metro 6R4, and when I found out the engine was later re-developed for the Jaguar XJ220 I loved it even more.

I read the wiki page and they withdrew the V12 from the Jag XJ220 as the V6 was smaller, making the car lighter, and met better environment targets.

Its ironic it ended up with an engine from a Rally car as at the cars conception it was envisioned as being able to compete in Group B though technical challenges (and the scrapping of Group B) ended that dream before it went further than the first prototype.
