Issigonis was experimenting with steam powered for BMC/BL as late as the early seventies. He'd designed the 9X as a replacement for the Mini, and tragically it was never put into production, and was also experimenting with a petrol fuelled steam engine for the model. He could often be seen wheezing round the Longbridge grounds in the steam powered test mule.

Finally got a picture of this rarely moved Porker my previous thoughts were that it was a 968 but I think it is another 928 to add to the total seen locally
