To be honest, the camera doesn't quite catch the orangyness of it and I suspect if I had messed about with the shutter speeds and stuff I may have done better but the clouds rolled back in before I had time to try.

I missed my chance to say we've had it turned down when I was asked for directions.

Just been for a lunch time run. A bit windy but very warm for the time of year.

MET Ireland issued a warning saying anyone who has to travel today should take some blankets, a sleeping bag, some extra clothing, including a scarf, hat, gloves, warm fleece, a flask of hot water, 24 hour supply of food and drink, a torch, spare batteries, a fully charged mobile phone & portable charger, a hot water bottle, a tow rope, a filled petrol can, a first aid kit and a set of jump leads.

I looked like a right clown getting on the bus to work this morning.

The daylight is a bit odd here in west London. It's a very faint orange. Not much wind.

Perhaps it depends where you are in the UK, gusting over 70mph here.

Obviously I understand this but winds gusting at 70mph to my mind occur relatively frequently. That’s why I’m surprised by how much interest this particular storm is creating.
