As per title , are they a short lifespan item as mine seem to be very thin after 6mths use.
i have 2 pairs of Endura shorts and some bib shorts.
the mtb Endura ones are the ones that get most use. The bib shorts seem ok as yet.
it maybe the washing machine or maybe its the chamois creame.

any thoughts? How long doyou keep yours..or expect them to last.

no post's reporting 15yrs and never been washed please its Saterday.. and im feeling a little hungover

It's Endura, innit. In recent years they seem to have gained a quasi-quality reputation that they never used to have.

I find even the best pads compress fairly quickly with use, probably because im a fatty boom boom.

@Drago yes the endura are middle of the road ok quality so i dont expect years from a £20 item.
the compression dont seem to have lost the compression yet which is my main like with shorts as the compression seems to help with fatigue.

Impsport, washed every ride and never worn a pair out yet. In 5 years or so they get a bit thin and slightly see through at which time they get relegated to winter or turbo wear.

My wife goes mad if I hand wash my cycling gear. I don't know why cos I save her a job.

I bought some "Funkier" padded shorts two years ago. They must've been washed about 300 times and done about 8000 miles. They're just starting to lose their elasticity and the pad isn't as padded as before. It keeps moving forward and getting caught on the front of the saddle.

Had over 10000 miles on a pair of Altura bib shorts , then another few thousand under tights in the winter before they died , on second pair with about 10000 miles on them and still looking good apart from some loose stitching which was repaired , only washed in liquid soap .

Thus far Lusso shorts seem to last without stitching coming out, similar with Etxeondo which to be fair can be quite spendy! The bad Sportful, BTWin shorts ( the dear ones ) and Dare2b, all of those have had stitching issues in a very short space of time albeit they were still serviceable. It might be just me and the cut of these type of shorts suit or don`t suit.

.

My **Endura Pro bib shorts have just cost me £60.00 and that was £5.00 cheaper than I saw elswhere.
One LBS told me "within reason any £50.00 & upwards shorts are going to be good........less than £30.00 and they are budget".
** when I compared them to my 2 year old Funkier there was, well, no comparison
