Yeah as a teacher my wife can just walk out of school to pick things up . Same as me I can just walk out of my job to get to school between 9 and 3.30 when I am the other end of the country .

You utter prat .

I think you'll find, as the one trying to wind the school up for fun, you are the one coming across as a prat.

If your wife is a primary teacher, she'll finish about 3? There will be people in the secondary school till at least 5. Plenty of time to sort it out.

Ha ha ha . Finished at 3 . Love it . You have no idea do you . Bet you are a secondary school teacher . Who think primary don't do much so start all kids at a lower level and switch them off from learning .

Now you have made more of a nob of yourself ...

Letter was sent in December saying parent etc needed to attend. We replied with a letter and also email , saying due to work commitments unable to attend and email result sheet happy to make appointment for anytime other than this week.

I was Happy to make appointment for next week as I have availability . That went in letter. No response .

Sent email again to phase leader Tuesday this week asking what arrangements were as not heard and we want results issued.

Got results yesterday . Looks like a yr 6 IT project. Which could have been emailed direct from the machine that produced it .

And no clever 2 sided printing . 2 sheets wasting resources.

But yeah it's all parents fault .

Finally get response when we have to go formal with LEA/OFSTED . What that tells me is there is something to hide .

It means the school can't hide the problem , brush it under the carpet and it means hopefully it won't happen to another pupil.

But if you don't get that I can see why you have had so many jobs

I have not had a job for 40+ years.

Wind me up or get under my skin and you will get nothing back, work with me and you will get a lot more in return.

So why no response until we have to go formal . Case of can't be bothered and hope it goes away . Sorry that don't happen. That makes things worse not go away.

Work for yourself ? Still a job!

What time does your wife finish work? Or rather, what time do the kids finish?

I don't think you understand primary school do you ?

Teaching finishes at 3.30. She can't leave before 5pm though.

If she could then youngest wouldn't need to be in after school "club" till 5.30.

As I said no idea , have you.

I am not disagreeing with you going formal, it was your winding up getting under the skin bit.

As for working for myself being a job, sorry I do not see it the same as you, but if so have you had the same one for over 40 years.

Turn of phrase ....

Only way to get s response is to go formal I.e. Get under skin.

Ask me in 30 years .... been same place 10 now, no plan to leave and redundancy unlikely . Done same thing for nearly 30 though .

I can leave when I need to, yes.
Well aren't you lucky then . Sadly she can't . But if you want to think that a idiotic "policy" is sensible then rock on.

It's beginning to feel like I am playing chess with a pigeon trying to discuss anything with you.

Yes, that is why it is not a job^_^

Meh . Happy to know what's coming wage wise each month . Been self employed , big companies screw you over and I am working less now than back then and better off to support family. Certainly less stressed !

Working on tools for 12 hours then doing the office stuff as was not quite turning enough profit to take on a admin bod.

Daughter has path she wants sorted and is now provisionally accepted at sixth form that suits her path just need to keep her motivated , and that's the one that annoyed from her secondary . The demotivational attitude rather than supporting her .
