Two crashes. He'd fallen on his left side before live TV started and it looks like he'd fallen again at a similar point on the second lap but on his right side.

He did get help from various rivals to try and get back to the bunch but just couldn't get there. Valiant effort though. It was great racing.

Fabulous competitive racing today. Much like me beating my partner up the Beacon this morning...mind you, she is 64

One assumes they put it back before he continued, else steering those hills would have been incredible pain. As it was, the only televised goof was almost following a deco Nick rider through a gap in the wall towards a ravine. Almost over the wall, too, but only almost.

Was no-one waiting payback for yesterday? Gino Mäder finished 10th on GC, Roglič 15th.
