When I was at school it was PE kit or nothing, no excuse. No shoes =barefoot. No shorts or skirt was in boxers / pants / knickers. No top was topless / bra or vest. Up until age 16 or 17. I don't think they still do that in this day and age!

It was the same at my school. Funny how no one ever forgot their kit when the incentive was that strong!
The sadist sports teachers at school used to make kids who'd forgotten their kit wear shitey smelling baggy kit from their special bag. They made some poorer kids' lives a misery. It was like Kes, but they had Welsh accents.
Did you go to same school as me?

My brother in law is a teacher. He's a nice chap, but one way to start him foaming at the mouth was to accuse him of being a lazy-ass part timer, or draw attention to the three months annual leave each year.

meh,

I just don't like my wife being accused of being lazy.

its easter holiday apparently. so I wonder why she was up at same time and is in school as normal. Oh yeah cos its the kids that get the holidays, and yes a good few teachers do take the time off as well but most are in or if not in, doing work. Oh and daughter is also in secondary this week and next so i wonder what teachers are in then .....

PS if its so easy and so well paid

1) why are you not doing it ?
2) why is there a massive shortage of teachers so much so that the Govt are planning on relaxing the entry requirements !

1) 'cos I don't want to risk ending up working with your lazy missus.
2) 'cos no-one wants to risk ending up working with your lazy missus

One of my oldest friends was up, normal time today and marking a massive pile of work. She sent me a picture of it! Bless her. She says that she's cracking on with it now, as a full time 'school day' so that she can have a few proper days with her own kids next week, before lesson prep starts again for her.

Boring anecdote alert.

when i was 17 i used to go to kung fu classes. I broke my arm (well, my brother did). Went to kung fu as usual to do as much as i could. It came to the press-ups which I couldn't do... the trainer looked at me and said "one arm!". I managed half a press-up, and it wasn't the 'up' half.
