Pedals started creaking when cycling

Hello out there!
I had my bike serviced few weeks ago and a week later the pedals (can feel slight movement) started creaking when I cycle - I am sure I had this some yrs ago with a mountain bike. Could this be bearings? It isn't a typical squeaky creak.

could be bearings but could also be worth removing pedals and greasing the threads a bit before refitting them

I had this a few weeks back....

Also, check all bolts on the cranks - I had 2 slightly loose ones which once tightened eliminated creak.
