It sounds like the guy is on the autistic spectrum...
We are all on the autistic spectrum. That is why it is a spectrum.

How much experience do you have of people with Autism or Aspergers syndrome? Experts can take years to come to a diagnosis but you seem to be able to do it based on the person being a picky eater. Very impressive.

I'm glad you're impressed. Both my children are on the autistic spectrum and I have a number of friends who are too. It doesn't take long to decide if somebody has ASD, the long bit is deciding what specific form they have.

Where did I come to a diagnosis? I said it sounds like it, I'll concede that I should have said it sounds like he might be.

The point I'm trying to make is that maybe he can't help it.

OK thank you for the clarification

Last BBQ I hosted couple of vegetarians came over so we gave them their own separate BBQ so the food wouldn't be contaminated, no complaints so far..... Yet they then moaned and whinged whenever meat was being cooked on the other one that the smell 'was offensive'. Er what?

Same goes for the people that moan about the free home brew I provide, if you don't like it then go buy your own!

That is out of order. I am a vegetarian and I would be extremely happy with the set up you provided.

What a bunch of self-righteous plonkers they so often tend to be. The contradiction never seems to occur to veges, that they fully expect to have their preferences catered for when they come to yours, but if you went to theirs and demanded a nice juicy steak please, they'd come over all wobbly and indignant. It';s like 'er indores bitching that I don't put the seat down when I've finished. 'Well, do I ask you to put the seat up when you've finished?' I ask.

Just invite him and cook what you want to cook... when he complains that you have nothing he likes simply say that after all the times he's come round and found nothing he's liked you *assumed* he'd just bring his own.

Or, to adapt a Frankie Boyle joke "There is a 'picky-eater' option... you can f*ck off."

Or alternatively if it is still attached to its mother then its still fresh enough

Er sorry, I'm normally better than that with my veggie pals....

My ex housemates GF is veggie, at one point she banned him from eating meat before she saw him as she said she could taste it later lol

He sounds like a total self-gratification artist from what you say here, but does he have any redeeming features? I presume there must be some reason why you invite him. If not, why bother inviting him at all?

Another +1 to this.
