Perineum Pain

Hi All,
Im suffering from Perineum pain when out riding, I use cream, Ive tried many different saddles and several different shorts, this is taking a lot of enjoyment out of my rides and limiting the distances I can travel. Any advice or recommendations would be welcome.

Try tilting the nose of the saddle down just a little?

It works for me.

Don't overdo it though or you will create other problems!

I feel pressure in the crotch area if my saddle is slightly too high .

How would you describe the pain?

Or worth trying one of the saddles with a channel in the crucial area... I've used Fizik Arione Versus saddles on all of my bikes for years, after suffering discomfort on longer rides.

A good bike fit will include the opportunity to try different saddles, but there are many other variables that need to be addressed.
Including handlebar height, reach, angle, position of gear/brake levers. Saddle height, angle, distance from handlebars. etc etc.

You might or might not need a different saddle, but everything needs to be checked.

Seems to me that there can only be pain if there's excessive loading in that area; meaning the bulk of the load isn't being supported where it should be (sit bones).

This could be because of the saddle is too far back, too high, too high at the nose; equally it could be because the bar position is too aggressive (low stack and / or high reach)..

Get the biggest cut out , so there is no chance of contact with perineum, only sit bones.

There are a variety of Selle saddles so pop along to a retailer or enquire as to try and fit return policy

During my bike fits, iirc I tried three different types of saddle, and two of those in different sizes.

I have different saddles on my road and gravel bikes.

Whilst my butt can discern comfort the position needed a professional eye.
