Yes, liberating, that's it. If the time is right anyway. I'd say the acceptance of moving on rather than no longer holding false hope but pretty much the same thing, just said different ways.

Getting rid of certain items of cycling gear will give me pause for thought but I hope nothing too severe. Fond farewells at worst.
 
Love my records of rides. I have a spreadsheet going back 20 years and then before that it would be in a pile of Letts diaries.

Strava is great too. People think it's all about speed and KOMs but it's not for me. Most rides have photos and I like looking back to see where we went and what we did. Speed doesn't mean anything.
