Apologies for not getting back sooner but we had a friend up from London who I sourced a new Bianchi for and today she collected it and we all went out in the glorious sun for a very enjoyable ride.
Back to business. I am quite happy to lead a ride [or indeed dr_pink is] of any distance or duration on Sunday 14th with or without cafe stop, on road, and will make it as scenic as possible [not difficult] sign your life away here .
FTFY ;)

I will be up for a Peterborough ride. Not for a Rutland though (sorry TF!)
We can add an extra loop Andrew to complete the century of the month if there's time?
I am thinking to take the train and ride back (that's approx 34 miles) + the ride + a small loop up to the 62-63 miles?

You too century twin!

I'll be staying with my in-laws in Peterborough on the 13th and 14th April and as usual I'll have my bike with me.

Would anyone fancy going for a bike ride on the morning of Sunday 14th April? I need to be back by lunchtime(ish) but other than that I'm fairly flexible.
why don't you look up Peterborough CTC? As fine a bunch as one could wish to meet. Ask them what they're up to that weekend.

Hmmmm, Peterborough or Rutland............decisions, decisions. How about a compromise, well, not exactly a compromise, but two contra-rotating rides, one to the NW of Peterborough, the other to the E of Oakham, meeting at a pre-arranged point in or near Stamford for refreshments and general socialising?

Sorry, probably not feasible!

Sounds like a brilliant idea!

I'll probably do the train both ways.
Do we have a meet time as yet? I'll aim to be on the same train as you, Fluffles.

Just looking up train times...
OK. I have 0750, calling Sandy at 0812, arriving Peterborough at 0843.
Then 0847, calling Sandy at 0906, arriving Peterborough 0939, and hourly at XX:47 after that.
Being back at Peterborough station for 1246 would work nicely for me - gets me back for 1335.

Sounds perfect! 10am start at the station then back to the station for 12.30. Now we just need a route

Early start and early finish suits me fine, as I will have another 33 miles to ride to get to Sandy..
I can do both 0812 and 0843, so whichever suits you best really!
I suppose a 1000 start is pretty good, isn't? Gives us almost 3 hours to play..

Having said that it's really up to you Andrew. Now you have 3 options: Peterborough CC, Rutland and Peterborough CTC..
Spoiled!! ;)

I choose Peterborough CC.

Shall we set it in stone then? 10am start at The Station?
