The lighthouse road is an evil climb. I visited when I was single digits years old. I've always said that once I'm fit enough I'd take a bike down there.
Oddly enough, any time I've been fit enough to ride to Campbeltown, the ~145 miles have somewhat dampened my enthusiasm for the notion.

Back on topic, when I lived in East Ayrshire I encountered Marvin from horrendous poverty safari show The Scheme on more than one occasion. I hope he's doing better now,
