Hi,
I don't have the RT-57 but I have a PX pro carbon and an Exocet 2 TT bike.
I am 5'11" and the medium size fits me just fine on both bikes. They were both bought using their sizing chart, so IMHO the sizing is pretty consistent.
Hope this helps a bit.
Good luck if you buy the bike.
PX do nice bikes; I am going to get an N2a in a couple of months time.

Thanks, yes that's helpful. If the size chart is accurate then it looks like the xxs will be too big for my short arse.

I have the Pro Carbon, size Large as I found the Medium too small, it felt really short and pecky. I'm 5'8" if that helps at all.
I would go and have a test ride if you can as the PX's are great bikes.

I have one, but mine's opposite end of sizing XXL ^_^ I got mine 3 or 4 months ago but it's only been ridden 4 or 5 times, it seems to be a proper dirt magnet, so mine's assigned for fair weather now.
It's a lovely bike to ride, feels very fast & smooth & I love it, just wish some nice weather would hurry up & come along.
Re the sizing, my XXL is 600mm (seat tube) and my old Spesh is 610mm but the PX does feel considerably smaller. Might be worth arranging a trip to Rotherham to try one out. I scoured the net & couldn't find anything that came close to matching the PX for value for money, even some of last years discounted models were not as good value

Has anyone got this bike, or got an opinion on it please?

I have the pro carbon.I was uncertain about frame and stem size so made the trip up to Shefield.
Good move. They put a bike on the turbo. From my position calculated stem length .Size of frame Large.I am 5ft 10in
Crank length72.5 I have always riden a med frame Giant with 170 cranks. They also tried various seat positions.
Result a really comfortable ride.A carbon framed Ultegra equiped bike for £1000.

The changes recommended surprised me but resulted in a bike I am happy to ride all day.
The only thing I changed were the tyres to Michelin Endurance will probably change the wheels from the stock Shimanoes at some time
Really pleased with thePlanet x .The trek up the M1 was worthwhile .

I've got one.... but "XL" sized. Mrs Kes (5'4" but with flexibility issues) tried all the planet x bikes last year and the only one that was even vaguely a comfortable fit reach wise was the XS pro carbon.

She ended up with a Dolan as they seem to offer frames with a shorter reach. She's now looking for another bike and the current favourite is looking to be the Dolan Etape for similar reasons.

Anyhow here's a review I wrote shortly after I got it.

https://www.cyclechat.net/threads/planet-x-rt-57-rival.115175/

It really is a cracking bike. However....

1. The matt black is an absolute swine to clean. 5 minutes riding in pleasant conditions and it looks like I've plowed a field with it.
2. The stock front end (planet x strava alloy bars) is very stiff and with 23mm tyres at full pressure you can feel every ripple in the road surface -Bike handles perfectly, but this can be wearing on longer rides.
3. There is bugger all tyre clearance at the back. You're going to struggle to get any form of guard on ( even a raceblade) and tyres more than 23mm are pretty much out (they rub on the downtube mech bracket screw).

On the upside, the bike is incredibly fast, light, handles very well and is comfortable - I've done the coast to coast in a day twice on the RT-57 and never got off wanting a more "relaxed" geometry.

Thank you for the replies. Sounds like the visit was well worthwhile and a good idea.

It does look an amazing bike. Coast to coast in a day twice? Wow! But not back the other way the day after i hope!

Unfortunately i think it's going to be too big. Will investigate the Dolan, and the xs pro carbon. Cheers.

There's a women's pro carbon option, for a grand

Plenty of other decent women's bikes too, look at the giant avail range if wanting a relaxed option, or a cannondale synapse

Decathlon have a wide range of sizes too

I have the rt-57, but only had a few other road bikes so not the best to compare, goes well though, the frames light and feels great on the road, massive chainset so sometimes wishing for lesser gears but thats down to my experience.

Mine has sram force 22, great gears i think, slotted into using them straight off, bikes set up to be fast with a low stem.

PLANT X customer service though! shocking, I'd enjoy beating baby seals more than having to deal with them again, its not the service on terms of delivery and what you get but just the general staff attitude, they don't give a hoot.

The shortest standard effective top tube for a 700c wheel you are going to find is usually 50cm. If you are under 5 ft 3 that's probably what you need unless you have an unusually long torso. Note nearly all Kuota models have a 50cm top tube option. Colnago, Specialised,Fuji,Pinarello all do in thier womens models, plus others .Last time I looked at Dolan they didn't but that was a while ago. Fuji from Evans can be good value just my opinion as I have looked at them in the past.
