You’re not going to believe this (I can hardly believe it myself) but in my local supermarket you can buy bags of “pre-sieved” flour. Do they sieve it just before it goes on the shelf? And don’t get me started on the whole ”pre” prefix nonsense either.

It's best to be pre-prepared.

'Head of Function'? 'Insurance Customer Delivery'? Does any of that actually mean anything to them? Because it means bugger all to me.

The job title I want is "comptroller", well, unless and until I'm proclaimed "Lord Protector" of course
