Does the OP wish to risk being charged and go to court and all the potential effect that would have on family, job, life

Yes, he well may not be convicted but I doubt most employers would be happy to support a member of staff being prosecuted for gbh even if acquitted, mud sticks

There'll be a CCTV camera on almost every building in that area, what any footage shows may or may not be useful

He was attacked by a gang, not one person.

The guy slipped whilst attacking the OP and knocked a couple of teeth out, if you were on a jury would you find the OP guilty?
For starters, it wouldn't get to the dizzy heights of a jury trial - more likely a single judge or even a magistrate. Whether the OP was found guilty or not would be entirely down to the credibility of the evidence supplied by him and the witnesses - which in this case would appear to be the scrotes who jumped him. Six months down the line when they appear in the witness box in their suits, and giving a totally different account of the proceedings to the OP, they might well be believed. Whether or not they are telling the truth or not is a different matter; if they are corroborating each other then chances are the OP would be convicted. For that reason I would stay well clear of reporting it, it's simply not worth the risk.

To turn it round a bit; what good do people think is going to come of reporting it? If they are proper scrotes, the justice system holds no real deterrent for them - it's all just a game to them. The Police might well promise extra patrols in the area for a while; but in reality that's not going to happen with the resources available these days. Policing is now reactive rather than proactive. The only real benefit might be that it appears as another statistic, and if there are enough of them then the Government can stop trying to BS us that crime is falling. Oh, and Merry Christmas! :okay:

Not sure if your point. Of drunken city tossers presumably. People do unpleasant nasty aggressive things when drunk. I expect the bloke without his front teeth has regrets if he has any recollection

There are plenty of city of London plod around there. Worked in the area, saw foot and car plod every day

Don't see so much plod there now.Even when that van at Cannon Street almost reversed into me and I was having an argument with the van driver about how great his driving was, unbeknown to me plod was a few vehicles behind and must have seen the incident and did bugger all as usual.

As I said earlier no wonder crime numbers are going down. Turn a blind eye you lot and keep your finger crossed it will not be worse next time.

I'd report it, but then I wouldn't have knocked anyone's front teeth out. The OP obviously doesn't know what to do and I doubt he'll be any the wiser after this thread

Lombard Street....Near Fenchurch Street?...I came through there afterwards if this is the same location...did have some twat jump out on me up Lombard Street...not today but some time back and I went into one..He thought it was funny and had his girlfriend with him...there really are some twats round there...Lots of p1553d office workers round there if you cycle at the wrong times like I do...A workmate of mine also had an argument with a lorry driving twat down there insisting there wasn't a cycle lane down there even though it's painted in...

Apologies if this isn't the same Lombard Street...I'm sure Gracechurch Street sounds familiar...hope you are ok mate...
The very same place. I have had a number of occurances there - usually after I have had a late one at work on a Thursday or Friday evening and tje office bods have had a chance to have a few sherbets. That and in the morning rush hour when drivers ignore the contra flow cycle lane. Actually I should probably find another route!

Talking of gangs of drunken tossers, woke up this morning to find someone has walked down our road and kicked every single parked car's wing mirror off.
Merry bloody Christmas!
