I've been using something similar for a couple of years. You need to keep pumping it to keep a decent pressure, but it's nowhere near that of a "proper" pressure washer. But it is good for loosening mud, using an old paint brush, and also for rinsing after a proper bucket & sponge wash. One fill is usually enough to give your bike a decent wash.
Not having a hose either, I'd say it's a decent alternative.
I have just brought one of these to get the worst of the mud off my MTB before I bring it home from the trails, its pretty low pressure but good enough to get some dirt off specially when you use some detergent. I use the brush with some muc-off
B&Q are selling a little hose (not much bigger than a large hand span) with a spray gun thats entirely controllable, for about a tenner. I got one the other day, but cant find it on thier website. Its by a company called 'verve' and is 10m long max, and tubing is narrow.
One of the best bike accesories ive come across.
