Since taking up macrame evening classes Archie is looking for a pattern for a saddle cover and bar ends.

Cubist, however, is content with lace making. He has acquired hundreds of different patterns from various cultures throughout Europe.

He always does the same pattern though, plain black, about 20 inches long and puts them in his brogues.
