Great (if short) album - love Three Girl Rhumba & 12XU but I actually prefer later stuff (more atmospheric ) like Map Ref 41°N 93°W.

Truthfully, I have always found Joy Division to be musically uplifting. The only song I find 'difficult' is Decades, because I thought for years that Ian Curtis sign-posted his suicide in that song.

I find no difficulties drawing a direct line from the rather gothic music of Joy Division to the pure dance music of New Order - one of the most euphoric bands I know.
