Dragging this one kicking and screaming back to the first page as full fibre has finally made it to this corner of the world and I had mine installed today.
Previous to this, the best I could look forward to was 20Mbps on a good day and woe betide you if you tried to record a Sky Sports HD channel while watching another HD channel via NOW TV. I'm paying for a Full Fibre 300 package with full HD sports package but was given the Full Fibre 500 package at the same price as for some reason they couldn't see the 300 option at the call centre. It's way over what I'll ever need (I hope), but it's £15 per month cheaper than what I was paying before.
As for the Speedtest result...

And 395Mbps download speed on wifi on the mobile!

My BB speed has more than halved recently from a consistent 16 Mb/s to a variable 5-8 Mb/s but since I am only guaranteed 5 Mb/s I can't do much about that. Still no sign of fibre here, though at least we are now on the 'to do' list!

We can get YouFibre. They use their own cabling network and don’t rely on other providers. Almost 1GB upload and download speed. £30pcm with no in contract price rises.

We have VM's 1Gb service - 1Gb/s download & 104Mb/s upload. It's generally rock solid but the fact that the modem randomly updates/resets itself without any warning is a bit annoying, especially if I'm in the middle of uploading photos to my cloud storage at the time.

My desktop PC gets full speed via a cabled Ethernet connection but the laptop is somewhat slower (using its internal Wi-Fi module) despite being in the same room as the modem.

Incoming...

I DO NOT BELIEVE IT... I will soon be joining the modern world!! I just got an email from Openreach telling me that full fibre should be available here by the summer.

I saw engineers pulling fibre bundles through the local drains a few weeks ago. They said that it was for Virgin Media but maybe they got it wrong or were doing multiple providers at the same time?

I wonder how much I will have to pay? Currently paying about £28/month for a slow service.

fibre in the ground can be open access, i.e. any isp can use it, same can apply to the last bit into/within premises

i've got g.network, it's their fibre in the street, but the fibre in the building isn't theirs, it's open to other providers - including bt, virgin etc.

best is to search for which providers cover your postcode/address, some will allow you to register for an update when service is available, you may also find leaflets coming through your letterbox offering deals once the fibre is in place

note that sites like uswitch and which? do not include all suppliers, you need to dig

We had City Fibre cable up our area a little under two years ago. We were leafleted by " Toob Broadband " with an offer of 900Mb up / down for £25 per month on an 18 month contract with a no price increase guarantee. Over the following few months we had leaflets from several other well known providers, the only thing in common was they were all offering in the region of 300-400 Mb at a significantly higher price.
Had an email last week to say my original contract was coming to an end, with the choice of a rolling contract, or to renew for a further 18 months at £29.
Service has been exemplary, with prior warning of any service outages, and account credits when we had a ( very brief ) unplanned outage.

80Mb/s download, 36Mb/s upload, via mobile hotspot in my French place. Until they put in a new mast, it was an unreliable 2-3Mb/s at best, and I had to sit outside about 100m away from the house to get it.

Let's say that the new mast has transformed what I can do here (including doing remote lessons), and all for the grand sum of 9.95€ per month for 300Gb. Better than my £30.95 per month for 100Mb/s from Talktalk in the UK.
