I tried mine out for the first time last night out on a 35 mile ride. One thing I did like was that my drink didn't have any of that slight plastic taint taste that you can often get from a plastic bottle. Another good point was, that the drink stayed nice and cool even though the sun was shining. I can only put that down towards the bottle being made of aluminium and effectively stays cooler with the cooling breeze pushed over it whilst cycling.

Isn't aluminium supposed to be poisonous?

Aluminium was linked to Alzheimer's, and there was some suggestion that aluminium pots and pans etc contributed, but IIRC no link with them was proven.

tap tap tap Is this thing on?

No, I don't think so. It was linked to Alzheimer's a few years ago as it was found on brain sections, but it was later realised that the Al had been applied to the tissue while preparing it for study. I think aluminium is off the hook.

Don't know about dishwasher stuff,
I did hear that aluminium utensils were linked to some form of disease many years ago , possibly pans that are heated during cooking could be harmful, and I say that without any proof at all , just my opinion , I do remember aluminium water bottles whilst in forces , and the water did sometimes have a strange flavour, but those could have been very old and never washed or aired ,I always empty any water left at end of ride and rinse out , and leave the top off ,

If its a quid its a quid for a reason.

Yes, and the reason is that Poundland buy a load of these as some end of line production run and knock them out at fairly low margins. These things are made in Asia and people are always screwing up distribution to Europe so there's always some excess to job off. That's where Poundland come in

That may have been the model it was founded under, but a lot of the stuff in there is clearly manufactured for them. They have multiple house brands, and of course small packets of big brand food.
