I hate bootleg CDs, they're almost guaranteed to give a crappy picture as well as terrible sound quality which ruins the whole point of trying to enjoy a good film. My inlaws however are always posting them through our door, normally cartoons for our 5 year old son to watch and he laps them up.

I always check through them to make sure they're suitable and not of the adult variety. Anyway I came down one Saturday morning to find my son sitting bolt upright on the sofa with his widened eyes starting at the screen. Without looking at me he said, 'this isn't a cartoon one daddy is it?'

He was only watching AVP! I took the disc out straight away and guess what? It had Dora the Explorer on the front of it! Poor little guy, he had got about 30 minutes into the dam thing but thankfully no nightmares.

- and anybody who really doesn't think that this is a gay movie should really check it out. Oops, the boys are just putting on their make-up for the big night out!

Blain:"Bunch of slack-jawed faggots around here. This stuff will make you a god damned sexual Tyrannosaurus, just like me!"

What on earth do you mean Dell? :becool:

The air arm wrestle between Dillon (Carl Weathers) and Dutch (Arnie) IS possibly the gayest part of the film (or any film until Brokebum Mountain)

Predator was awesome 80's macho movie though!

what method did you use to give them proper nightmares then?

Wigs Jnr watched AVP with the MIL when he was about 7, I went mental but he was unbothered by it all, I am contemplating testing him out on some scarier stuff!

I watched American Werewolf in London at a mates house when I was 8 ish and had nightmares for years! :becool:

Mine have done all sorts of scary movies and were getting very blase. So I introduced them to American Werewolf in London, I had three extra bodies in the bed with me that night:biggrin:

I like all the films mentioned on this thread,Predator,Alien,American Werewolf etc.But my scariest film ever is still Jaws:eek:
Growing up it was Halloween,Childs Play, and all the old Dracula and Frankenstein films that look really naff now and would be rated 12 now.

He is obsessed with the Silent Hill movie as he has seen me play the game every now and again, I may try that!

We don't have American Werewolf in London in the house (I have watched it once since, about a year ago) but it may be a last resort.
